Janice Rabie (b. 1954 Cape Town) is a South African artist who lives and works in Cape Town. She works in various media, including painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and ceramics.

After graduating from the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town in 1981 (majoring in sculpture), she worked primarily as a ceramicist, producing both functional ware and sculptures. Her work sells both nationally and abroad, especially her delicate porcelain mugs which are loved the world over. Her ceramic sculptures won the "Ceramic Art and Perception" award at the Ceramics South Africa National Exhibition in 2006.

In 2007 she started painting with serious intent under the mentorship of wellknown artist and teacher Dr. Julia Teale at the Spencer Street Studio. She held her first solo exhibition of paintings at the Rust-en-Vrede gallery in Durbanville in 2014.

In 2012 her series of five paintings won the prize for the best overall work in the Vuleka Art Competition, which is held annually at Art.b Gallery in Bellville. Her work has shown in various group exhibitions, including the AVA, IS Art, the Cape Gallery, the Art Business and Gallery One11.

In 1995 she took time off to study music at the SA College of Music (University of Cape Town), and graduated with a BMus in 1998.
