Her body of work aims to capture the honesty, vulnerability, and raw beauty of moments that emerge when individuals enter a state of ‘otherness’. It aims to instigate answers to the questions that the subjects’ expressions and demeanour pose, and by doing so, invites the viewer to step into a state of otherness as well. Michelle further abstracts these moments, ideas and themes that emerge from her photography into her paintings and drawings. Michelle is also the founder and creative director of Studio Co, a specialised design studio and consultancy that works with brands across the globe.
